Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo Neves came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yoga Cura came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benito Sanz could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 9th minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Acácio Gaspar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 13th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Acácio Gaspar. Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Noboa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Zé Paulo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. A collision led to Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Beraldo Arboleda hit a great ball. In the 22nd match minute, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Souza to maneuver through the defense. After 23 played minutes, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acácio Gaspar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Costa Rica reached it. 25 minutes into the match, Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Acácio Gaspar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Yoga Cura fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร's protests and gave Yoga Cura a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Ⲙσсσсɑ Βᴜꓲꓲร got a freekick which was hit by Yoga Cura. Eliseo Noboa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Acácio Gaspar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aaron Alcocer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Falcão came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eliseo Noboa charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliseo Noboa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Moreira hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Betinho Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Juan Rubio got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 47th minute of the match Uriel Porfirio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. After the first half Costa Rica were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yoga Cura made a kick off. Hugo Ferrant charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Ferrant the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 62 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ferrant. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Acácio Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute Betinho Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Paulo Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute Yoga Cura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Paulo Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 80th minute. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Paulo Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Yoga Cura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zé Paulo Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inácio Moreira charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inácio Moreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Costa Rica's Alfredo Zoido was substituted for Eliseo Noboa. Inácio Moreira hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Alfredo Zoido might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Acácio Gaspar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Zoido ran back to his position shaking his head.
