The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Xavion Chavarri despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 11th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Kurdwanów FC's goalie and right to Luis Andino. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Kurdwanów FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 14 minutes into the game, Piotr Rybak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Waldemar Karanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zachariasz Sniegowski in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Xavion Chavarri. Kurdwanów FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Xavion Chavarri in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kurdwanów FC's Xavion Chavarri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piotr Rybak in the 63rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piotr Rybak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. A collision led to Kurdwanów FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Zachariasz Sniegowski hit a great ball. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xavion Chavarri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 81st minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kurdwanów FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Piotr Rybak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luis Andino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94thth minute of the game Piotr Rybak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Felix Montenegro notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of Kurdwanów FC's Xavion Chavarri. Xavion Chavarri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
