The supporters of Mexico booed when FC ANC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Måns Kjellman in the 12th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Quiroga in the 13th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, FC ANC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Martin Tudor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Flavio Migliorati dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-1. 19 minutes into the match, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Tudor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, FC ANC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Martin Tudor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Joel Gaona's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Tudor was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 95th match minute when Mexico's Joel Gaona looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
