In the 14th minute, Kip William got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Monty Rogers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blas Aritza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kip William in the 29th minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, USA's Edward Mcdonald sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blas Aritza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 35 minutes, Cassius Byrne managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. USA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cassius Byrne was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kip William had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 minutes of play, La Acade's Leonard Lamczyk made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marco Day was left in no man's land by his defense there! 43 minutes into the match, La Acade's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Blas Aritza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Monty Rogers managed to get in a good position for a shot. USA's supporters rose to their feet, but Monty Rogers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Blas Aritza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 47 minutes into the match, USA's Monty Rogers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Blas Aritza narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kip William stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Cantero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blas Aritza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cassius Byrne's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Blas Aritza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 60th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Cassius Byrne's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Blas Aritza was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. La Acade's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Teófilo Amaro in the 64th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of USA's goalie and right to Leonard Lamczyk. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. USA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kip William fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Lamczyk in the 69th minute of play. Sam Campbell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Blas Aritza made a huge save. Blas Aritza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 84th minute of play forced La Acade's goalkeeper Blas Aritza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Osvaldo Cantero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Day was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. USA's Khalid Parry was substituted for Monty Rogers. Blas Aritza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Baker in the 89th minute. Blas Aritza made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Sam Campbell sent off a good shot on target. 95 minutes into the match, Sam Campbell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Blas Aritza. La Acade's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sam Campbell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2.
