Camilo Gisbert hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Ermis's Zinon Zebetoglou sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Demis Kounelakis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Ermis's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Ermis's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a left leg Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis saved Ermis from getting behind. Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Demis Kounelakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis having to make a save. Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. In the 39th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis. Ermis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Zinon Zebetoglou came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Julio Vera could save by the left post. Miltos Xanthopoulos hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Ermis's Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis managed to reach the ball for a save. After 47 played minutes Ermis got a freekick which was hit by Zacharias Maltezakis. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis made a huge save. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis firmly grabbed it by the left post. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 59th minute. Zacharias Maltezakis hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ermis's Paraskevas Loukoumakis got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Ermis's Thrasivoulos Tsirigakis got control of the ball when Luis Andino tried to sneak it across the goal line.
