In the 9th minute, Tervel Dushanov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Tervel Dushanov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Nikifor Ruzhekov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Tervel Dushanov came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nikifor Ruzhekov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. EW® Leeds's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but EW® Leeds's Nikifor Ruzhekov did a great save. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anatoli Filov. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stoycho Mladenov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anatoli Filov in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nikifor Ruzhekov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by EW® Leeds's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of EW® Leeds booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute of the match Pavlin Mogilanski shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Anatoli Filov came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the EW® Leeds fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anatoli Filov couldn't finish the play. Pavlin Mogilanski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 44th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nikifor Ruzhekov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tervel Dushanov to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, EW® Leeds's Anatoli Filov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 54th minute of the match Stoycho Mladenov sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. In the 57th minute, Tervel Dushanov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. After 66 minutes Venezuela's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pavlin Mogilanski who took care of the corner kick. Yani Dakelov made in the 70th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tervel Dushanov immediately put the ball in play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nikifor Ruzhekov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anatoli Filov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Venegas's late challenge caught a EW® Leeds's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonathan Venegas helped the player get up and apologised. After 83 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anatoli Filov, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 90 minutes of play Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 90 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 92nd minute. The audience was convinced that Tervel Dushanov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. EW® Leeds's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
