In the 28th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Julian Murillo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Avram Popoiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Peru's Julian Murillo in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Avram Popoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Peru were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Avram Popoiu managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roman Corte was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Deportivo Damasco F.C. getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Bonifaco Montoya hit a great ball. In the 57th minute of the match Montxo Cabero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolando Noboa skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Corte in the 59th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Sten Paulin in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. 68 minutes into the match, Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s goalkeeper Avram Popoiu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. In the 69th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Deportivo Damasco F.C.'s Avram Popoiu got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiadoro Cores in the 88th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Avram Popoiu in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Avram Popoiu made a huge save. Avram Popoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 98th minute of play. Peru played a much better game than Deportivo Damasco F.C. and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Damasco F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
