Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tomas Illescas kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute Karol Czempa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karol Czempa went, in the 2nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Karol Czempa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Vasile Blănaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Karol Czempa scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 2-0. After 14 played minutes Progresul Pitesti got a freekick which was hit by Leonard Moise. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Karol Czempa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Karol Czempa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the game, Tomas Illescas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Martin Tudor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With 26 minutes on the clock, Salvador Gisbert commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Venezuela:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Progresul Pitesti:s goal. Florin Logofătu walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 35th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chorache Tofiño in the 37th minute of play. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th minute of the match Progresul Pitesti got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Florin Logofătu ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karol Czempa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Vasile Blănaru made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 60th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Czempa in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes in the game Ezkerra Villasana did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vasile Blănaru. 68 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Czempa came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Progresul Pitesti were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Florin Logofătu took the corner. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Tudor having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Blănaru in the 77th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Czempa in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Progresul Pitesti booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karol Czempa might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karol Czempa ran back to his position shaking his head. After 85 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. 87 minutes into the match, Karol Czempa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karol Czempa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. In the 91st minute, Vasile Blănaru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Progresul Pitesti had played much better football throughout.
