Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. After 77 played minutes, Águilas Poblanas's Marcial Mannie shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Águilas Poblanas reached it. In the 78th minute Justo Sagrario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Águilas Poblanas's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Matias Eder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
