Albi Campoamor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes had been played when some careless play by Futbolin's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 16th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albi Campoamor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Nestor Paio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albi Campoamor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 27th minute of the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Futbolin's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Juan Sebastián Puig fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Albi Campoamor quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albi Campoamor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Futbolin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincente Quintas didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Futbolin's goalkeeper Albi Campoamor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 40th minute of play forced Futbolin's goalkeeper Albi Campoamor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Futbolin booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chayo Ramis struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futbolin. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 56th minute of play forced Futbolin's goalkeeper Albi Campoamor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucila Beloki's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. A collision led to Futbolin getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Nestor Paio hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute Nestor Paio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Futbolin fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Futbolin's Lucila Beloki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 69th minute, Chayo Ramis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. With a little luck, Futbolin's Albi Campoamor got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucila Beloki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Paio charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nestor Paio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Futbolin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Paio to maneuver through the defense. The Futbolin support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
