Thanks to some nice moves Santino Seco could shoot a difficult shot in the 43rd minute, which Alvaro Rotili however easily saved by the left post. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ercole Fiorentino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Manzanares having to interfere. The corner led to A.S. Udinese's Alberigo Di Franco getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Alberigo Di Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. A.S. Udinese had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
