The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, El ABUELO FC's goalkeeper Rodolfo Bertassi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. El ABUELO FC's Rodolfo Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 7th minute of play. Laurence Peacock hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Mariano Lacasa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and El ABUELO FC's Rodolfo Bertassi didn't even have to move. In the 16th minute, Isidoro Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 22 minutes, Isidoro Azevedo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Chile's Thiago Pliego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Mariano Lacasa made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Bertassi. El ABUELO FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Azevedo in the 31st minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Chile's Francisco Carballar got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Pedro Indiano charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Indiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Chile fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Chile:s Thiago Pliego showed great skill when he stopped Isidoro Azevedo:s penalty. Mariano Lacasa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. El ABUELO FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Mariano Lacasa scored to the left of an out of position Rodolfo Bertassi, making the score, 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After some careless play in the Chile defense, Isidoro Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thiago Pliego. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. El ABUELO FC's Ildefonso Gonzo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillermo Fontirroig in the 58 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidoro Azevedo got free with Thiago Pliego in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thiago Pliego had great luck who in the 63rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Isidoro Azevedo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Pedro Indiano hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. If Isidoro Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidoro Azevedo in the 68th minute of play. Rodolfo Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Azevedo in the 76th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Azevedo in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, El ABUELO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurence Peacock to maneuver through the defense. Laurence Peacock hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 88 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rodolfo Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, El ABUELO FC's Laurence Peacock got a free kick in the 89th minute. Mariano Lacasa struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Rodolfo Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chile. Rodolfo Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The Chile manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing El ABUELO FC to win.
