If Hector Bladi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manos Tsakalidis in the 8th minute of play. Hector Bladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Big Babousa's Svetlozar Karamihov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play. Hector Bladi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svetlozar Karamihov having to interfere. Svetlozar Karamihov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Big Babousa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Svetlozar Karamihov quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manos Tsakalidis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Svetlozar Karamihov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute. 55 minutes had been played when some careless play by Big Babousa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Felix Montenegro managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Montenegro in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Svetlozar Karamihov saved Big Babousa from getting behind. 55 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Svetlozar Karamihov. With a little luck, Big Babousa's Svetlozar Karamihov got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 minutes Big Babousa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Cristian Sancho fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Svetlozar Karamihov quite easily take care of the ball. In the 61st minute, Ecuador's Felix Montes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felix Montes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ecuador protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felix Montes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 60 minutes into the game, one of Ecuador:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Big Babousa a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hector Bladi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. 2-1. In the 66th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Sebastián Puig to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Big Babousa's Hector Bladi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Big Babousa made a substitution. Alejandro Cordaryal replaced Odilon Bacete. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Ricardo-Enrique Bochini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Ricardo-Enrique Bochini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Juan Sebastián Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Big Babousa could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
