After 35 played minutes Belloco got a freekick which was hit by Melquiades Sidoro. After 37 played minutes Belloco got a freekick which was hit by Luisito Fix. Saverio Orlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Marcos Cotilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Galeno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 44th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. Ezequiel Gomesano's late challenge caught a Panama's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abraham Alguacil in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mariano Galeno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 92 minutes into the match, Abraham Alguacil dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mariano Galeno, 0-3. Panama's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
