When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Laureano Primeiro took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Tolek Jajesniak came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the • REGINA • fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tolek Jajesniak couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Primeiro in the 26th minute of play. Tomas Illescas scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dobromir Szarmach, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 29th minute. Al Bundy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laureano Primeiro in the 36th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A collision led to • REGINA • getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ivan Fanuco hit a great ball. Laureano Primeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Primeiro to make the kick off. Joshua Secada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dobromir Szarmach having to interfere. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Laureano Primeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Dobromir Szarmach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Jeremias Lehoi made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laureano Primeiro in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 66th minute • REGINA • were awarded a corner. Tolek Jajesniak went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Tolek Jajesniak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. In the 68th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dobromir Szarmach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Lehoi in the 69th minute of the match. • REGINA •'s Jeremias Lehoi got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeremias Lehoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. In the 76thth minute of the game Laureano Primeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, • REGINA •'s goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Dobromir Szarmach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. • REGINA •'s Ivan Fanuco got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute.
