Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dobromir Szarmach having to make a save. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Dobromir Szarmach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Dobromir Szarmach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laureano Primeiro in the 15th minute of play. After 19 minutes • REGINA •'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Ecuador's Felix Montes to fire away a dangerous shot which Dobromir Szarmach despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Dobromir Szarmach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dobromir Szarmach. • REGINA •'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. • REGINA • were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celso Poncio took the corner. Celso Poncio kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in • REGINA •'s zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dobromir Szarmach came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Jeremias Lehoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dobromir Szarmach made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Lehoi in the 58th minute of play. After 60 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Celso Poncio who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dobromir Szarmach firmly grabbed it by the left post. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremias Lehoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Daniel Zorita hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after • REGINA •'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The supporters of Ecuador booed when • REGINA • was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albino Sol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dobromir Szarmach made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute. In the 72nd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dobromir Szarmach came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 78th minute. • REGINA • made a substitution. Al Bundy replaced Baldomero Emenon. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. After 85 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. In the 86thth minute of the game Fryderyk Kanczuszewski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dobromir Szarmach made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 88th minute. Jeremias Lehoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Al Bundy managed to get in a good position for a shot. • REGINA •'s supporters rose to their feet, but Al Bundy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dobromir Szarmach, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Al Bundy in the 96th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. • REGINA •'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tolek Jajesniak in the 97th minute.
