The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Ologu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Victor Ologu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Puig. In the 20thth minute of the game Axel Tasis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Raureni Academy's Victor Ologu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 21st minute. Cristinel Tomozei charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristinel Tomozei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th minute, Nichifor Aelenei left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Raureni Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. When Raureni Academy's Pompiliu Andrițoiu in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristinel Tomozei went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Cornel Manciulea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benito Sanz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Cristinel Tomozei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Manciulea in the 46th minute of play.

Cristinel Tomozei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Abel Carballo hit a great ball. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Benito Sanz managed to avoid a goal in the 58thth minute, when Raureni Academy's Nichifor Aelenei fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 59th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Manciulea came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Raureni Academy's Cornel Manciulea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 0-6 after 64 minutes of play. Florin Manu hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Ologu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Ologu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After taking down the ball on Costa Rica's corner Axel Tasis fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victor Ologu quite easily take care of the ball. Victor Ologu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 91st minute of the match. Raureni Academy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
