Edvin Bruhn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 54th minute of play. Ronnys Lärjungar's Kåre Mattsson was substituted for Zebastian Larsfält. George Esbjörnsson charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Uruguay supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ronnys Lärjungar's performance. The match ended with a win for Ronnys Lärjungar.
