Club Atletico Chusca were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Colombia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Lauro Moreira took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Blas Edorta managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. Joel Abilio made in the 75th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Lauro Moreira however managed to control. Lauro Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Moreira in the 82nd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aristides Santo was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 93 minutes into the match.
