Edmundo Espiga scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olov Groth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Honduras's Luca Espinar managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jarl Nässén in the 8 minute of the game. Esteban Carvallo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Olov Groth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Tafalla in the 14th minute of the match. The corner ended in Edmundo Espiga almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Snipers's Olov Groth did a great save. Edmundo Espiga scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olov Groth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to FC Snipers getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jarl Nässén hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the game, Ivan Johansson threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Luca Espinar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lennart Svensson in the 45th minute. Olov Groth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Honduras were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Göran Olofsson made a kick off. Olov Groth made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Edmundo Espiga sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Svensson in the 55th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's attentive Luca Espinar managed to snatch the ball when Ivan Johansson made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game. Moises Tafalla struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Olov Groth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. 76 minutes into the game, Göran Olofsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Lautaro Navarro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Emanuel Ocampo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Göran Olofsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Göran Olofsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Snipers's goalkeeper Olov Groth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Göran Olofsson's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Göran Olofsson helped the player get up and apologised. Göran Olofsson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olov Groth saved FC Snipers from getting behind. Edmundo Espiga had several of the FC Snipers's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 96 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Olov Groth as he didn't even see the shot coming.
