With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felice Aceto in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. In the 48th minute, one of Venezuela:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Venezuela. Jonathan Ferrant had in the 51stth minute some difficulties stopping Csaba Bognár's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

In the 68thth minute of the game Felice Aceto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomas Illescas during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Illescas to maneuver through the defense.
