With his leg Julio Vera managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when COPERNICUS TORUŃ's Brion Murphy fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tahsin Atacan in the 10th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gordon Horgan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute of play. Julio Vera was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Olgun Oktay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. The supporters of COPERNICUS TORUŃ booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. The COPERNICUS TORUŃ players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
