But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibor Surovec couldn't finish the play. Chico Pirok could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dezider Šindelka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santino Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jan Plocek sent off a good shot on target. Dezider Šindelka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute of play forced FC Barcelona's goalkeeper Dezider Šindelka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dezider Šindelka yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Thanks to some nice moves Abram Secada could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Dezider Šindelka however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Secada got free with Dezider Šindelka in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gavin McConchy made in the 93rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Anton Chlup however managed to control. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dezider Šindelka was a little too slow when Santino Seco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 99th minute. The score was now 2-3. The Colombia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Colombia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
