Lamento Boliviano's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jos Musseeuw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Lamento Boliviano's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jos Musseeuw, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 22nd minute, Jos Musseeuw ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jos Musseeuw in the 35th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lamento Boliviano's Manu Abajas was substituted for Timoteo Abadie. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zsolt Molnár stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Lamento Boliviano's Zsolt Molnár nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Lamento Boliviano's Augusto Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Lamento Boliviano from getting a goal against them. Christovao Abastas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Remigio Batista with Algimantas Tarasevičius as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Alex Chicote hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Vergílio saved Lamento Boliviano from getting behind. Zsolt Molnár fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Algimantas Tarasevičius in the 80th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Christovao Abastas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute.
