Åke Utter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 18th minute of the match. FC NILS's Håkan Löfgren quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Salvador Gisbert, made in the 22nd minute of the game. Zebastian Palmkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. The supporters of FC NILS booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by FC NILS's Zebastian Palmkvist. But to his dismay, Zebastian Palmkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Åke Utter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Åke Utter was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, FC NILS's Merry Christmann got a free kick in the 38th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bill Fitzpatrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. FC NILS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Americo Portas in the 43rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferdi Kadıoğlu during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Ferdi Kadıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bill Fitzpatrick in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Håkan Löfgren hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. FC NILS's Florencio Gaueko was substituted for Ferdi Kadıoğlu. FC NILS's Filip Örtlund was substituted for Bill Fitzpatrick. After a rather tough play, FC NILS's Håkan Löfgren got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Filip Örtlund kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Örtlund, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC NILS had won after a very even match.
