Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristi Miheș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Cristi Miheș was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Cristi Miheș in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 黄超亦 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Cristi Miheș made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, 黄超亦 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and 黄超亦 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Cristi Miheș tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when GoooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silviu Filimon didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 黄超亦 made a kick off. After a rather tough play, GoooooL's Iosif Şiman got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 黄超亦 made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 57thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Julio Vera would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. GoooooL's Cristi Miheș played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 58th minute of play. In the 58th match minute, GoooooL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Coronel Canyelles to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to GoooooL getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Iosif Şiman hit a great ball. Cristi Miheș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. 黄超亦 took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ecuador booed when GoooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iosif Şiman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Engin Dönmez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristi Miheș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luis Andino in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristi Miheș prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A nice corner shot did that Engin Dönmez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 88 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GoooooL the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 88th minute. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
