Liverpool FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Panama eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
