An unexpectedly hard shot by Agustín Saelices in the 13th minute of play forced Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Romeu Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bebeto Queirós in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. After 18 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bebeto Queirós who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Planet Caravan's Bebeto Queirós to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Planet Caravan's goalkeeper Romeu Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson dos Santos came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Hudson dos Santos notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Romeu Marques dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bebeto Queirós who took care of the corner kick. When Bebeto Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Planet Caravan's protests and gave Bebeto Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Planet Caravan getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Bebeto Queirós hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bebeto Queirós to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Bebeto Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Romeu Marques in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Planet Caravan fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Planet Caravan's Bebeto Queirós looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Anísio Saraiva kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. If Wilian Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Planet Caravan's Romeu Marques got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 81 minutes of play Planet Caravan's Bebeto Queirós was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Planet Caravan's Bebeto Queirós got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Romeu Marques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilian Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
