Worst Arena Ever
Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Isaias Eguerdi kicked off to start the match. Evert Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Hamberg in the 10th minute of the match. After 15 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Joshua Secada. Evert Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Eguerdi went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When József Murai came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Worst Team Ever fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that József Murai couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stor Klack. The crowd rose to their feet as Worst Team Ever's Isaias Eguerdi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 34 minutes of play. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evert Norberg having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Worst Team Ever's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evert Norberg came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 44 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Worst Team Ever the free kick. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaias Eguerdi got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Stor Klack received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stor Klack, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Isaias Eguerdi came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Worst Team Ever's goalkeeper Evert Norberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaias Eguerdi, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stor Klack in the 68th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evert Norberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute, Kalle Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Evert Norberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. In the 84th minute Isaias Eguerdi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Worst Team Ever's corner Alf Hamberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonathan Ferrant quite easily take care of the ball. When Patricio Costa came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Costa couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stor Klack in the 90th minute of play. If Isaias Eguerdi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Worst Team Ever had won after a very even match.
