When the match had been going on for 50 minutes, Napoleón 2018's Saturnino Johans got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Joaquin Gayoso. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Francisco Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maximiliano Escribano in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Urbano Faro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Arturo Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Di Bin Zhen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Saturnino Johans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saturnino Johans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saturnino Johans, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Napoleón 2018 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Alzamendi didn't get a good kick on the ball.
