Caetano Peseiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 13 minutes into the match, 武汉江岸区江滩足球队's Ali Gültiken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ali Gültiken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Dante Lacasa made a huge save. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With an all-out effort, Mexico's Caetano Peseiro threw himself towards the right post 57 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Tafalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by 武汉江岸区江滩足球队's Ali Gültiken. But to his dismay, Ali Gültiken quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Caetano Peseiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 66th minute of play. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Gültiken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caetano Peseiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 77th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Mexico's Alberto Tafalla to fire away a dangerous shot which Caetano Peseiro despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the 武汉江岸区江滩足球队 defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caetano Peseiro. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Lorenzo Cazalla a yellow card for diving instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mexico players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
