With an all-out effort, DEPORTIVO SJ's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 潘林凡, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Luis Andino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Montes kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Isidro Christobal made a huge save. A collision led to DEPORTIVO SJ getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. 潘林凡 hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Daniel Zorita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isidro Christobal. That made the score 1-1 after 67 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, DEPORTIVO SJ's Filiberto Bermudez got a free kick in the 70th minute. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Isidro Christobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute 潘林凡 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. DEPORTIVO SJ's Isidro Christobal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save DEPORTIVO SJ from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filiberto Bermudez in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. Josef Mohammad charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josef Mohammad the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 90th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isidro Christobal. The goal made the score 2-2. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
