Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Atilano Quinten started the match with the kick off. When Atilano Quinten came up free with the goalie in the 2nd minute, the Los Delfines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atilano Quinten couldn't finish the play. 4 minutes into the match, Arquímedes Cesario dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Pedro Manzanares, 1-0. The throw-in from José Luis Brown in the 10th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Colombia's Antonio Indiano. Valentin Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Matías Patrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Los Delfines's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Colombia's Pedro Manzanares got control of the ball when Tomáš Kožený tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matías Patrone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abram Sarmiento in the 35th minute of the match. Matías Patrone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Mastache in the 40th minute of play.

The wind increased when Abram Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Los Delfines's Matías Patrone got control of the ball when Axel Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Abram Sarmiento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Los Delfines made a substitution. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Axel Montenegro got free with Matías Patrone in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ambrosio Bartolome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. Santino Seco scored 1-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matías Patrone, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 72 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Pascual Carballar. Saverio Regis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oliver Bierhoff in the 79th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Bierhoff went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute Oliver Bierhoff shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the game, Oliver Bierhoff cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Oliver Bierhoff put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pedro Manzanares.
