With an all-out effort, MANCHESTER UNITED's Julio Vera threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Klement Harasimowicz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 12thth minute of the game Klement Harasimowicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Lalchev having to interfere. After 15 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Klement Harasimowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. MANCHESTER UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Klement Harasimowicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathon Triplett charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 27 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Harasimowicz came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, MANCHESTER UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Anton Lalchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anton Lalchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. MANCHESTER UNITED's Klement Harasimowicz came free and shot a quick shot against goal 32 minutes in the game, fortunately Julio Vera had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Anton Lalchev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anton Lalchev, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of play forced MANCHESTER UNITED's goalkeeper Anton Lalchev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 56 minutes MANCHESTER UNITED's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MANCHESTER UNITED's Anton Lalchev did a great save. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Klement Harasimowicz's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klement Harasimowicz in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Robben Montens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Klement Harasimowicz in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Klement Harasimowicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denko Gervazov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anton Lalchev came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Klement Harasimowicz took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denko Gervazov in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. In the 90thth minute of the game Klement Harasimowicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of MANCHESTER UNITED booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Sancho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Klement Harasimowicz went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. If Robben Montens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The MANCHESTER UNITED players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
