Fabian Arenaza ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 12th minute, Lukasz Fafinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anders Larsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. Cecilio Seber's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jonathan Ferrant firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zenon Damazki hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Fenix's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Anders Larsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atletico Fenix's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Club Atletico Fenix's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
