Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Anton Lalchev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 3rd minute of play. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anton Lalchev. Anton Lalchev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 7 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Agustín Saelices. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Klement Harasimowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Klement Harasimowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klement Harasimowicz in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera stood somewhat misplaced when Klement Harasimowicz came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 12 minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denko Gervazov in the 17th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, MANCHESTER UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Anton Lalchev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes MANCHESTER UNITED's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anton Lalchev quite easily take care of the ball. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Lalchev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 41st match minute, MANCHESTER UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaj Felin to maneuver through the defense. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The audience was convinced that Klement Harasimowicz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Anton Lalchev to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Klement Harasimowicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. MANCHESTER UNITED's supporters rose to their feet, but Klement Harasimowicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Klement Harasimowicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
