Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orestis Lazarou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Orestis Lazarou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. After having played for 6 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Arends could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 15th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Rondo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Agustín Saelices heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Orestis Lazarou tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Orestis Lazarou, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Rondo's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Orestis Lazarou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th match minute, Rondo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick de Zee to maneuver through the defense. Orestis Lazarou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Rondo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Orestis Lazarou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Rondo's Orestis Lazarou managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Rondo's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orestis Lazarou came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Rondo's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rondo's Orestis Lazarou did a great save. After 46 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the Rondo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charly Rusterholz made a kick off. Orestis Lazarou was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Cristian Sancho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cristian Sancho really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orestis Lazarou having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Orestis Lazarou, 0-4. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Charly Rusterholz put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. 65 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Dirk-Jan Knuppel came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rondo's Orestis Lazarou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charly Rusterholz in the 68th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Rondo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Orestis Lazarou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orestis Lazarou made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Rondo throughout the match.
