After 19 minutes Languiñeo FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Joel Gaona who took care of the corner kick. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Luca Rouco got a free kick in the 20th minute. Rigoberto Txerran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 24th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Languiñeo FC's zone, Alberto Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rigoberto Txerran came out of the goal and Alberto Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 32 minutes, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Gaona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 35th minute of play forced Languiñeo FC's goalkeeper Rigoberto Txerran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Macos Graciani made in the 38th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Joel Gaona immediately put the ball in play. Macos Graciani kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaby Batistuta. Rigoberto Txerran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 46th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Rigoberto Txerran. Languiñeo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Rigoberto Txerran in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th match minute, Languiñeo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaby Batistuta to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Languiñeo FC's Enzo Totakoxe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Languiñeo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Rigoberto Txerran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A throw-in in the 75th minute of the game was made by Macos Graciani with Joel Gaona as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Rigoberto Txerran made a huge save. In the 84th minute of the match, Luca Zorita tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rigoberto Txerran saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 86th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Languiñeo FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 92nd minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Languiñeo FC made a substitution. Victorio Frasquito replaced Ermegildo Abeita. 95 minutes into the match, Languiñeo FC's Bartolo Izel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
