After 24 minutes, Lucas Alario made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Alario came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruhi Ongay kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Severo Elequemedo. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Severo Elequemedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Alario in the 42nd minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Lucas Alario was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. The supporters of Venezuela booed when A.D Atlético Villa Gesell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Tono didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Guillermo Mariano in the 61st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Severo Elequemedo's left hand side. After having played for 63 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Alario in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Guillermo Mariano kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Lucas Alario got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 82 played minutes A.D Atlético Villa Gesell got a freekick which was hit by Leon Tono. Severo Elequemedo acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Tomas Illescas. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Alario, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Severo Elequemedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 88th minute of play. After 91 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 95th minute of play forced A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's goalkeeper Severo Elequemedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell had won after a very even match.
