Severo Elequemedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 4th minute of the match. Ruhi Ongay kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Anier Pereyra in the 8th minute. In the 13th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Elequemedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Severo Elequemedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anier Pereyra took the corner. 24 minutes into the match, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Severo Elequemedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Severo Elequemedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 26th minute of play. Severo Elequemedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Leon Tono hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severo Elequemedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Lucas Alario could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 39th minute, Ruhi Ongay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Severo Elequemedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to A.D Atlético Villa Gesell getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Ruhi Ongay hit a great ball. Severo Elequemedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 48th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Severo Elequemedo quite easily take care of the ball.

The wind increased when Lucas Alario made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Severo Elequemedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ecuador's Cristian Sancho, in the 54th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Severo Elequemedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that A.D Atlético Villa Gesell's Severo Elequemedo managed to reach the ball for a save. Leon Tono thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Severo Elequemedo, a very annoying self made goal in the 64th minute which led to 0-2. After some careless play in the A.D Atlético Villa Gesell defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severo Elequemedo. The A.D Atlético Villa Gesell fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severo Elequemedo should have stopped the shot. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
