Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Jonathan Ferrant successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Independente F.C. It was a well-played corner which Dionisio Rik managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Robbie Southgate stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomas Illescas's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. In the 41stth minute of the game 高坤源 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 高坤源 in the 43rd minute of the match. The supporters of Independente F.C. Limeira booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Southgate having to interfere. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Robbie Southgate didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. Venezuela succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Independente F.C. Limeira had controlled the match.
