In the 17th minute, one of Sporting Club Victoria:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Club Victoria. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Honduras. Edmundo Espiga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Felipe Galindo. 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Victoria's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Felipe Galindo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Galindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Espiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando Eladio hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Luca Espinar sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felipe Galindo skillfully saved the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. Honduras played a much better game than Sporting Club Victoria and deserved their victory. The Sporting Club Victoria players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
