In the 2nd minute, Gofar Pohan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aras Sophian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 8th minute of play forced Kranji Crunchy's goalkeeper Aras Sophian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gofar Pohan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. Kranji Crunchy's Gofar Pohan got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aras Sophian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gofar Pohan went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Gofar Pohan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Filip Barbosu was slow to take the kick. During this time Kranji Crunchy's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Bengt-Arne Bäckman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jonathan Ferrant quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Battal Seyyit Torcan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Kranji Crunchy got a freekick which was hit by Battal Seyyit Torcan. 38 minutes into the game, Gofar Pohan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Gofar Pohan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gofar Pohan, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Patricio Costa hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Gofar Pohan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Kranji Crunchy's Battal Seyyit Torcan got a free kick in the 54th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gofar Pohan went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Gofar Pohan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gofar Pohan, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute, Gofar Pohan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Kranji Crunchy's Gofar Pohan got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Gofar Pohan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kranji Crunchy's supporters rose to their feet, but Gofar Pohan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aras Sophian having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gofar Pohan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gofar Pohan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
