Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melchor Carlomagno in the 8th minute. Domingo Bide took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Bide saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, NYC United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Domingo Bide reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by NYC United's Rigoberto Ceandro. But to his dismay, Rigoberto Ceandro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Rigoberto Ceandro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingo Bide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Rigoberto Ceandro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingo Bide came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rigoberto Ceandro to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in NYC United's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Domingo Bide came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Dominguez in the 59th minute of the match. Augusto Dominguez kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ali Cengiz Peykan in the 63rd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Domingo Bide in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ali Cengiz Peykan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Bumin Mete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melchor Carlomagno kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 96 played minutes NYC United got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Ceandro. Ecuador were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing NYC United to leave the ground with a draw.
