The supporters of Panama booed when 人至溅无敌！水至清无鱼！ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. 崔星奕 didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Panama were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Berganza to make the kick off.
