In the 3rdth minute of the game Francisco Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's Hector Cambranes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardinho Romeo. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Cordaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Arturo Cordaro scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joaquin Gayoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. The audience was convinced that Arturo Cordaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Camilo Covarrubias hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Americo Javiar in the 56th minute. Americo Javiar made a great header on ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ's corner, it was just that Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso managed to reach the ball for a save. Francisco Seco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Hector Cambranes made a huge save. In the 87th minute Arturo Cordaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardinho Romeo took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ᴡɪʟᴅᴇxʜᴀᴍ ꜰᴄ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
