No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaw Pysz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 60 minutes of play, Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Lester Clavijo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 66th minute of play forced Ornitorrincos F.C.'s goalkeeper Gustaw Pysz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ornitorrincos F.C.'s zone, Patricio Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustaw Pysz came out of the goal and Patricio Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ornitorrincos F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! After 88 minutes, Guillermo Arregui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ornitorrincos F.C. and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guillermo Arregui kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymundo Carilao in the 90th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Gabino Calvo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabino Calvo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Ornitorrincos F.C. were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Raymundo Carilao took the corner. The corner led Ornitorrincos F.C.'s Raymundo Carilao to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymundo Carilao in the 97th minute of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymundo Carilao in the 101st minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ornitorrincos F.C. fully deserved thier win.
