Batu Dalayer's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 18th minute of the match almafuerte got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anacleto Primo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Anacleto Primo almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. Victorino Macias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Peio. The audience was convinced that Tomasz Kiewra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Victorino Macias made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Victorino Macias made a huge save. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batu Dalayer in the 57th minute of play. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Macias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The corner led Ecuador's Cristian Sancho to fire away a dangerous shot which Victorino Macias despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Batu Dalayer's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind almafuerte's goalkeeper Victorino Macias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by almafuerte's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. In the 75th minute, Luis Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomasz Kiewra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. almafuerte made a substitution. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victorino Macias. That made the score 1-2 in the 91 minute of play. Tomasz Kiewra might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomasz Kiewra ran back to his position shaking his head. almafuerte's Amien Pardede got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
