Yannis Specht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yannis Specht saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ringo Rau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Yıldıray Pektay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Limitless Delux Edition™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Yıldıray Pektay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the game, Ringo Rau cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Limitless Delux Edition™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pascal Newton didn't get a good kick on the ball. 42 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yannis Specht. Limitless Delux Edition™'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 45 minutes into the match, Limitless Delux Edition™'s Ringo Rau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. After 49 played minutes Limitless Delux Edition™ got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Newton. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ringo Rau was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Yannis Specht made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 56th minute of play. Limitless Delux Edition™'s Yannis Specht proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Limitless Delux Edition™ from getting a goal against them. When Ringo Rau came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Limitless Delux Edition™ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ringo Rau couldn't finish the play. Limitless Delux Edition™ made a substitution. Renaut De Geyter replaced Natan Omblets. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A nice corner shot did that Ringo Rau got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 82nd minute of the match, Felix Montenegro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Yannis Specht was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ringo Rau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Verheijden came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hubert Verheijden scored 2-2 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
