A collision led to DS Milan getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Tony Carlisle hit a great ball. In the 9th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Posada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 彭翔德 in the 10th minute of play. In the 17th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Posada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when 彭翔德 sent off a good shot on target. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Emilio Posada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 彭翔德's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 30th minute of play forced DS Milan's goalkeeper Emilio Posada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. DS Milan's Emilio Posada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. DS Milan's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Luis Andino was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Syd Barrett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. 42 minutes into the game, 彭翔德 recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Julio Vera. 彭翔德 showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Syd Barrett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 59 minutes, Syd Barrett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DS Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Syd Barrett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Posada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. DS Milan's Emilio Posada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Montenegro in the 67th minute of play. DS Milan's Emilio Posada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save DS Milan from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Daniel Zorita reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Emilio Posada. The goal made the score 1-3. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Posada breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. DS Milan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Barney Widdrington in the 85th minute. After taking down the ball on DS Milan's corner Barney Widdrington fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emilio Posada came out and tried to block the shot, but Daniel Zorita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 86th minute. After 89 played minutes DS Milan got a freekick which was hit by Syd Barrett. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emilio Posada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 92 minutes, 彭翔德 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DS Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but 彭翔德 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DS Milan.
